The philosophical difference
LifeAt's bet is more: if your calendar, tasks, notes, and focus timer live inside one beautiful space, you never need to leave. When that works, it's genuinely pleasant. The risk is what long-time users of any growing app know well — each added surface adds a little weight, and some people find themselves missing the simpler tool they started with.
Hokkori's bet is less, protected: simplicity treated as a feature with a guard on the door.
